Wednesday, June 23rd, 2010Over the past week we’ve had over 50 tonnes of fireworks arrive – favourites and new products alike, we’re now begining to complete the 2010 range of fireworks for our own displays and trade customers across the United Kingdom.
Each container takes a team of up to 11 people 3 hours to unload.
Busy month for bookings – new fireworks due soon!
Tuesday, April 13th, 2010We’ve seen an increase in bookings this month – not just for our firework displays, but also the firework competitions we organise. We’re nearly 100% up on 2009 figures – so it’s looking like a busy year for the events.
Meanwhile we’ve got some very exciting new products due in soon – including a whole host of fireworks designed to increase the variety and valve offered in the UK display industry.
Tam is our latest member of staff, joining us earlier this year… let’s hope things continues as they began this year – we look forward to providing people all over the world with fantastic firework displays.

Snow outside the office
Wednesday, February 10th, 2010Today it snowed again – it’s not even news now! The office has been busy with bookings coming in daily at the moment. New websites for the events and the mailshots have been completed. Orders from China and product catalogues are all part of the daily activity at MLE.
So it’s rather busy here at the moment, we’re looking forward to the next set of shows coming up – some rather large scale pyromusical weddings.

Liuyang
Tuesday, January 5th, 2010Well after the chaos of 600 flights being postponed at Beijing yesterday I finally got to Liuyang in China via another 2 hour flight to Changsha airport.
Liuyang is the firework manufacturing capital of the world. It has literally 1000s of firework factories scattered all around the Hunan countryside.
It is now 945am and we’ve just had a late breakfast before we start a days work looking at the various firework effects and new ideas. We are proud to be associated with the very best factories in China and have great working relationships with our partners here.
Today is much warmer than I have experienced recently. Minus 5 in sunny England to minus 13 in Beijing yesterday. I believe it is
around 9 degrees here but I am sure it’s still colder than that.
More soon…
